BRIEF SUMMARY

When we assume that language can be nothing more than a way of conversing, then it can be said that vocabulary acquisition is definitely nothing more or less than understanding how to communicate. Although how kids learn to speak is certainly not perfectly understood, most details involve both observation that children replicate what they listen to. Children usually learn the sounds and terminology of their local language through imitation. Through this chapter it is briefly found characteristics of the language of young children. Several theories have been offered because explanation s for just how language is definitely learned.

The first 36 months: Milestones and developmental sequences

The earliest vocalizations are simply the crying that babies perform when they require something, for example when they are starving or just need parent's attention. Infants have the ability to hear seems, and to difference some of the appears, but not prior to 3-5 weeks they begin to possess own vocalizations for example babbling. At 11-12 months most babies may have begun to make a word or maybe more that everyone recognizes: mother – daddy. At 1 . 5 years old, Language takes off.
