The company behind ‘Shaun of the Dead’ and ‘Hot Fuzz’ are looking for young people to star in a major TV drama for the BBC.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AGED BETWEEN 15 & 18 YRS OLD (we will be quite strict on ages!) BASED IN LONDON
Please come and meet the casting director for a chat on:
MONDAY 26th JULY: 10am – 2pm
THE AMERICAN CHURCH IN LONDON, 79A TOTTENHAM COURT ROAD, LONDON, W1T 4TD
Nearest Tube: Goodge Street or Warren StreetPLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE VENUE DIRECTLY – THEY CANNOT HELP YOU WITH INFORMATION ON THE CASTING CALL
If you are not able to attend our open casting and are keen to be involved, please email us at: sbfilmcasting@googlemail.com
Interestingly enough this is the same email for contact used for a London open casting call earlier this year in January – project is probably not linked though. Guesses are that this July open casting is for BBC’s ‘Seige‘, a thriller set in a London secondary school. What do you think?
EDIT: The call is for actors based in LONDON ONLY!
Thank you ScreenTerrier and NAPM!

And people need to be London-based.

I think I am going to give this a whirl. I just wish the character briefs were shown so I could have a sense of what they are looking for!

Are they defintiley only looking for actors from London? Would it be pointless attending if you were Scottish? (like moi)

Hi i was just wondering, can you just turn up at the audition? and do you need like a monologue or something?
Posted by Olivia on July 13th, 2010 @ 2:24 pm (Link Comment)
Yup, just turn up! You’ll probably be expected to talk about yourself, or improv or read a bit of a scene if they want to see more.

Siege, not Seige. Please check next time, as I emailed them with a spelling mistake!

Nick, Oh no, not a spelling mistake!
John, you should know this, online links to video files are best.
Daryl, I know it’s late but the casting call was for those who LIVE in London, doesn’t matter where they were from as long as they were based in London. Be sure to read the casting breakdown.
Hoho, again, late, but yes if you’re under the age you should potentially take a guardian. Note for next time!
