June 12th 2010 is confirmed as the last day of principal photography for the Harry Potter films. What an end of an era! I can’t believe it’s all over.

Why do I mourn? Harry Potter has been one of the most fantastic franchises to boost the British film industry, expose new and fresh actors and involve the greatest British actors. It launched the careers of those who would otherwise never have been actors. As seen in our Harry Potter casting timeline, you can see how hard a task it was for the casting directors to get every character right (where in some cases they got it wrong but that’s a matter of opinion)!

Luna Fans have discovered the audition tape for Evanna Lynch, who plays Luna Lovegood in the series. It makes for a very interesting watch!
