I know what you mean! But to help you decide I do know that Gail Stevens has indeed been looking for young Heathcliff and Catherine, asking those to apply to office@gailstevenscasting.com.

MewMew – if you can’t make the dates try contacting the casting director with your headshot and CV – http://www.gailstevenscasting.com. If you’re what they’re looking for they’ll get in touch but don’t worry if you don’t get a reply – they’ll be super busy.

I’m coming. Do we need to bring anything ?

I was going to tell you about this, but you got to it before I did! I’m sad that Gemma Arterton isn’t going to be in it, but I do like the fact that they’re going even younger.

I also found an article about the casting for the other Bronte movie, Jane Eyre, and thought of you (especially since Nina Gold is apparently part of it)- http://www.durhamschool.co.uk/newsarticle.asp?newsid=620

Hi, I heard about this auditio first through my school and the posters they sent out through the MLE have different information on, to what information you have so i was just a bit confused. The information that my school gave me was 14-16 year olds in to the Jurys inn at half 10 on 15th february, so the age range is different..? Also i thought young cathy had brown hair :S Thanks a lot :)

Hi,
Is it necessary to apply before the audition, or is it ok to just sort of turn up?
x

I’m going to go!! We don’t need to email before right? And they are definitely on? What time do you think you should queue from?

They find the info from me, my website is called http://www.thecastingwebsite.com

Also for the avoidence of doubt, this is not the Gemma Arterton and Ed Westwick film, Andrea Arnold is wanting to find 2 new leads for a seperate feature with the same title.

if you require any more info please email rob@thecastingwebsite.com

Kind Regards.

Rob Earnshaw

This feature film adaptation of Wuthering Heights, written by Olivia Hetreed, has been in development by Ecosse Films for the last couple of years. It has had a number of directors (including John Maybury and Peter Webber) and stars attached (including Natalie Portman, Gemma Arterton etc) but with the arrival of Andrea Arnold as director it has finally gone into pre-production and is currently casting.
Audition information is available from a number of sources including Screen Yorkshire, Screenterrier, The Casting Website, Alan Baltes, local radio and PCR.

do you just turn up? do you need an audition piece? i’m soooo confusedddd!!

Posted by Olivia on February 17th, 2010 @ 7:04 am (Link Comment)

@ Lily,

Yep, you just turn up! You don’t email in advance and since there is no mention of an audition piece needed one can assume that should they want to see more of you they will provide a section of the script to read from. (Just an assumption, I don’t actually know if they will!)

hi went to the york auditions today and they were only casting for cathy and heathcliff just wondering if there will be any auditions for other roles such as young hindley, hareton etc? will they be in the film? if so when is the casting?

Posted by Olivia on February 17th, 2010 @ 1:00 pm (Link Comment)

@ JF

The breakdown states they are only using an open casting for the Cathy and Heathcliff characters. Any other roles will be cast through agents, unless there is news of another open casting for further casting.

Hello, my name is Amber Doig-Thorne.

I am a 15 year old girl. I am immensely interested in the part and would love to have the chance to audition; it would be a dream come true for me. I am 5ft 4in tall, dress size 8-10, have long dark brown curly hair and clear blue/green eyes.

I have a big personality, am very bubbly, love to be on camera and am very outgoing. I love to talk in front of people, and I would love to take part in this movie. I love to act and take on the role of someone else; learn what they would do and how they would act in different situations. I am very good at learning lines.
